Today is the second anniversary of the disappearance of Maurice Rykeem McDaniel. He was abducted by his non-custodial mother from Lancaster, California and may be in Georgia.
Above is a picture of Maurice. If you have any information as to his whereabouts, please contact either the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST or the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office at 661-948-8466.
I have just received word from NCMEC that Anthony Guacho Ayala has been found safe. I will resolve his case and if I find an article will post it. The new case on the site is that of Natasha Carter.
The case of Isabella Saileanu has been added to the Adam Haseeb Memorial pages today. Please check out the link and help find this girl.
I receive quite a bit of e-mail relating to the For the Lost site. There are suggestions, thanks, tips, and of course communications from the families of the missing.
Last week I received a communication that asked me to remove four children from my recovered photo gallery. I complied; although this case had been a family abduction it had never been on the actual site and it was possible it was due to some sort of misunderstanding.
Then I receive a missing child poster alert from NCMEC. The same four children were involved. This was not something I wanted to see. What made it worse was the article I later found on the Websleuths boards.
Police Issue Amber Alert for Four Children
Needless to say, I will be putting them up again when they are found, and not taking them down. And yes, the mother accused of abducting them was the person who wrote me. Who has already taken them three times. The sheer audacity of someone writing me to take down her kids’ photos a week before she abducts them again is almost funny.
I have just received word that Hornell Gordon has been found safe. His case has been resolved and I will post an article if I can find one. The new case on the site is of Chimwemwe Chinema.
I have just received notice from NCMEC that Aiko Stubbs has been found safe. I will post an article if I can find one, and will resolve her case. The new cases on the site are those of Justin and Moises Romero.
Today is the three year anniversary of the disappearance of Carlos and Juan Esquivel. They were abducted by their non-custodial father, Carlos Adrian Esquivel, from Arlington, Texas. They may still be in that area.
Above are images of Carlos and Juan. If you have any information as to their whereabouts, please contact either the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST or the Arlington Police Department at 817-274-4444.
Tayna Brown to receive five years probation
The father of two girls who were abducted by their mother in 2005 reacted with outrage Tuesday to the punishment she received.
Or more precisely, the lack of punishment.
“Five years probation? C’mon,” Chuck Brown said Tuesday, after the no-jail sentencing of his former wife, Tanya Diane Brown.
Tanya Brown, who hid five abducted children for three years in a remote mountain home near Tehachapi, was sentenced Tuesday to five years probation with no jail time.
Sadly, this is all too common in family abduction cases. Even though the children are now far behind in school and didn’t get medical care while they were gone, the abducting parent usually gets away with a slap on the wrist. It is a tragic effect of the school of thought that the kid is with a parent and is therefore all right.
I have received notice from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Madeleline Winter has been found safe. If I find an article I will post it. In the meantime I will resolve her case. The new case on the site will be Gabriela Diaz.
This article gives details about the disappearance and recovery of the Revander children mentioned in my previous post.
Mother is arrested with missing children at local shelter
A woman who has been profiled on TV’s “America’s Most Wanted” for allegedly taking her two children away from their father last year in Montana was discovered and arrested Friday in Valencia County.
Valencia County Sheriff Rene Rivera said deputies received a call from a detective in Montana working the case on Friday, Aug. 29. He told them that he believed 45-year-old Valerie Dunkle was at a Valencia Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence safe house. Dunkle was wanted on a fugitive warrant on charges of parental interference for allegedly taking her two children from their father, Shawn Hargrove, of Kalispell, Mont.
The article states that their father has already been reunited with them. It will be a hard road I am sure, but I wish them all the best in getting resettled.
